Our History

Greenlawns High School is non-denominational and co-educational and was founded in 1959 by Mrs. Daphne Clare, Fraser Thompson.

In the year 1965, Mr. Lalit Gandhi, a friend, philosopher & guide to Mrs. Fraser Thompson, who was actively involved in the development and expansion of the school, purchased it. It was then taken over by the C.U. Shah Education Trust Foundation

Since then Mr. Shah and his family is carrying forward this baton, and is actively involved in the development & expansion of the school.


Our pupils' all round development is guaranteed through the work of clubs that our teachers successfully run. We have state-of -the-art

air-conditioned library and Computer room where students assemble to become computer-savvy and keep abreast of modern-day technology.

Stress is given on

Art : The children are encouraged to use a variety of techniques in art and craft work. They are motivated to convey ideas and feelings.

Drama : It is useful and versatile tool in the development of language, eliminating stage fright and in building confidence.

Physical Education : The school aims to develop control and co-ordinate the body through physical activities. Once in a week every class go to PDP in the morning.
