CONCEPT OF MY FAMILY (NURSERY)

Nursery children learnt about the concept of My Family. Two children were asked to dress up as parents and act like them. Two sets of grandparents were invited to the class and they interacted with children by singing songs and bhajans. A baby was invited and children loved mingling with the baby. Children understood the importance of family and had fun learning the concept of family. A glimpse of it:

WORLD MUSIC DAY CELEBRATIONS (KINDERGARTEN)

Kindergarten children enjoyed colouring different musical instruments and decorated musical shakers with colourful stickers, tapes & bright rhinestones as a follow-up craft activity for World Music Day.  A glimpse of it:

PRE PRIMARY INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

 

Greenlawns High School, Pre-Primary Department celebrated the International Yoga Day with zeal and enthusiasm. 

Teachers had planned and organised a refreshing yoga session consisting of sun salutations, balancing poses and pranayama on 21 june 2023 , Wednesday. 

Children from pre-primary sections entered school sporting comfortable track pants and a white t-shirt and bought their colourful yoga mats to celebrate this day.

They practiced asanas like butterfly pose, tree pose, cobra pose, chair pose and many alike. 

The yoga session ended with calming meditation music and aum chanting. 

Students were elated after the yoga session, they thanked the Physical Education trainer, Mr. Stany, their school teachers & the beloved principal Ms. Caroline Vaz.

Parents appreciated & valued the school management for the contribution they have made in their children's lives. It was a memorable day for the school & for the teachers too. 

The whole idea behind dedicating a day to Yoga is to help the world recognize the wonders it can do if practiced regularly. 

Yoga has been shown to help children develop better concentration, focus, and self-esteem, as well as improve their physical flexibility, balance, and strength.

For young children, yoga is more than just a physical activity. Regular yoga practice can help children develop skills that will help them through adolescence and later in life.
