⏺The Greenlawns Bazaar 2023, a vision of our Respected Principal, Ms. Caroline Vaz, & organised by the Pre-Primary Department was a roaring success.
⏺It was held on a bright Tuesday morning of 12th December’ 2023.
⏺The school opened its gates to a huge crowd of excited pre-schoolers & their enthusiastic parents.
⏺The Greenlawns Bazaar apart from an entertaining & light-hearted event, aims to promote FINANCIAL LITERACY & MANAGEMENT to their toddlers & preschoolers.
⏺Learning about money and developing financial literacy from a young age can help children develop responsible money habits and attitudes for later in life.
⏺Basic money management concepts for young children include:
* what money looks like
* where money comes from.
* what money is for – needs and wants
* how to use money wisely – budgeting and saving
* how to get value for money.
⏺The Bazaar aims to impart EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING whereby students “learn by doing” and by reflecting on the experience.
⏺ Children enjoyed purchasing fruits, vegetables & groceries from the vendors. They also independently conducted transactions for the mouth-watering sandwiches, chaat, idli chutney & refreshing coconut water as their breakfast. Popcorn, cotton candy and balloons multiplied their joy & giggles ten-fold.
⏺Here are a few reasons why children should be encourage to go grocery shopping, at least occasionally!
-Learning Letters and Numbers.
-Practicing Social Skills.
-Learning about Food.
-It’s fun.
-Learning about Money.
The bazaar provided a hands on platform by encouraging the young minds to be a helping hand over money, handling change, talking about how much items cost and have a good, real life, foundation of experience on which to build their knowledge about money.
⏺The Greenlawns Bazaar witnessed a buzzing, lively & populous crowd.
⏺To conclude, it was truly heart warming to see all the little happy faces participate in active learning through the vivacious & spirited Greenlawns Bazaar!

MASTER CHEF COMPETITION (KINDERGARTEN)
Kindergarten children wore colourful aprons and chef hats and heartily participated in the Master chef competition. The little master chefs made refreshing coolers, appetizing snacks and tasty desserts.

Children’s Day Celebrations (Kindergarten)
Kindergarteners celebrated children’s Day with fun and frolic. They coloured a drawing learning about Chacha Nehru’s love for children. They played games & danced like no one’s watching. The school gifted them a beautiful set of faber castle crayons too as a children’s Day gift. A glimpse of it:

CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION
Children celebrated Children’s Day by wearing colourful clothes, playing games and dancing on music. They were happy receiving the gift from school.

DIWALI PARTY (KINDERGARTEN)
Kindergarten Children celebrated Diwali with joy & laughter. They were dressed in traditional finery. They enjoyed colouring diwali drawings, watched a spectacular fireworks show hosted by the school, danced to peppy music and relished delicious snacks. They were gifted yummy biscuits & beautiful diyas by the school too. A glimpse of it:

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS-RANGOLI MAKING ACTIVITY (KINDERGARTEN)

NAVARATRI CELEBRATIONS (KINDERGARTEN)

CONCEPT OF INDOOR GAMES (KINDERGARTEN)
