On 18th December, 2020 the Primary Section conducted the Inter House Western Music Competition from Std 1st to 4th. The children were very enthusiastic and participated vibrantly with each other in good spirit. The judges were thrilled to hear our juniors singing. Keep it up children !

JUNIOR MASTER CHEF COMPETITION


Date: 23-10-2020

Greenlawns High School, Warden Road - Primary Section had conducted the Inter House Junior Master Chef Competition (2020-2021) on 23 /10/2020. The children and their parents were super excited for the same and participated in full force. The children had shown much creativity and interest in making the choicest of cuisines and also presented them beautifully and artistically. The dishes were a feast to our eyes and looked as if made by professional chefs. Hurray to our junior school kiddos!

Indian Music Competition ( Primary )

The Indian Music Competition for the Primary section was held between the students of Std 1 and 2 and the students of Std 3 and 4. Music was in the air throughout the show. It was a delight to witness all the participants put up a magnificent performance. The children sang the songs with a lot of passion and confidence. It was indeed an impressive show and kept the audience enthralled.

Chess Competition

INTERHOUSE CHESS COMPETITION 
"Daring Ideas are like Chessmen. They maybe beaten, but they may start a winning game. "
On the 9th of September, Greenlawns High School hosted its first ever Online Chess Competition. Various participants from the 5th grade to the 10th grade displayed their fantastic chess skills. They defied everyone who believed that chess was a "boring game" made for nerds by portraying how fun and challenging this game actually is. Through all the matches with neck-to-neck scores, draws and time outs the competition had left everyone on an edge. The competition was just a perfect way to pass time, stay entertained and hone our skills while staying at home.

English Oratory Competition


Date: 19-08-2020
The participating students were at their eloquent best at the Inter House English Oratory Competition which was held on Wednesday, 19th August, 2020. Students from the middle school (Class 5, 6 & 7) and senior school ( Class 8, 9 & 10) delivered thought provoking speeches that they themselves had penned. The young orators were judged on the content of their speech, delivery, voice modulation and diction by the panel of judges which included teachers from the English department. Dhruti Jhaveri and Riya Hari were adjudged the best speakers. Overall, it was the Yellow House that reigned triumphant, followed by the Blue House and then the Red House..

Craft Competition (Secondary)


Date: 24-07-2020

The inter house virtual craft competition was conducted on Zoom on 24th July, 2020 from 12pm to 1pm. The teachers in charge were Ms. Shreya Prabhudesai and Ms. Nisha Mascarenhas. The topic chosen for the competition was ‘HANDCRAFTED RAKHI’. As per the set rules, one participant each from the middle and senior school were selected per house.  The participants were given an hour to make a unique, colourful and attractive rakhi using household and waste materials. All the participants worked with diligence and showed a lot of creativity and enthusiasm in creating beautiful rakhis.
