Essay Writing Competition (Primary)

Essays are shorter pieces of writing that often require the student to hone a number of skills such as close reading, analysis, comparison and contrast, persuasion, conciseness, clarity, and exposition. As is evidenced by this list of attributes, there is much to be gained by the student who strives to succeed at essay writing.

Our school organised Inter House English Essay Writing Competition for the students of primary section.The topics were as follows:

Grade 1- My mother

Grade 2 - My favourite game

Grade 3 - A rainy day

Grade 4 - If I were the principal of a school

All the students actively participated. They wrote effective and thoughtful essays. Four winners were selected from each grade.

Interhouse Spelling Bee Competition (Primary Section)

The participants had to attempt to spell correctly and loudly,the words assigned to them by the teacher.The competition helped the children to memorize a list of words.It was a well conducted and well organised competition and all the participants performed well.

Hindi handwriting Competition-Primary Section


Date: 10-06-2022

The Inter House Hindi Handwriting Competition for the Primary Section was held for the students of Std 2nd to 4th .The students were asked to write a seen passage.
The criteria for judging the competition was based on Handwriting, spelling, neatness.
The children participated enthusiastically.The objective of this competition was to encourage students to improve their calligraphy skills. The competition was organized in their respective classrooms. Handwriting is an essential skill for students. It is an incredibly important exercise for students to encourage them to develop fine motor skills and confidence. It activates the brain and contributes to reading fluency.
