VistAura Excellencia

Interschool events are always the best experience and adds on to the innovative learning in our life journey. VistAura Interschool competition conducted by Gundecha School in August 2019 is another feather in my cap. This is one of my favorite event as it got-out the street smartness in me and made me feel like a young entrepreneur. This event included my fellow participant Ashmit Jain and me to design our own product and introduce it to judges who were the investors. This event taught gave me a brief idea of the outside corporate world as it taught me everything from planning a new project to implementing it on paper covering all the sections like presentation, manufacturing, purchasing the raw material, producing, advertising, selling, marketing, retailing etc. We could understand and learn all the concepts easily with this idea. As always Ms. Reema, our guiding star helped us with brilliant ideas and Presentation which ultimately proved to be our plus points. Ms. Pradnya helped us with the data to make a new project. We won second prize in this competiton. Krish Jain and Madhura Korgaonkar were selected to participate in an event called Newsmakers Meet in Hindi. Under the guidance of Ms. Rohini we bagged the first place. It was on the spot topics given in hindi where participants had to be more vigilant, street smart and well versed with Hindi language. We are awaiting to participate in this event even next year to bag few more prizes. I'm grateful to Miss Caroline to give me this opportunity to prove my mettle again and again and always being a support and mentor. - Dev Talreja

NIE INTERSCHOOL DANCE COMPETITION

Interschool dance is not only the competition but a journey of experiencing the teamwork, expression, confidence, synchronization so on.. During our geography lecture it was announced that NIE was conducting the interschool Dance Competition for the first time. I was very excited as the theme was Patriotism. It was conducted on 26 th January, 2020 at Dublin Square, Pheonix Market city, Kurla. Saaima maam had taken the lead to encourage our school to participate in such an eye-catching event. As theme was Patriotism, we decided to give tribute to our Indian soldiers and hence Ms, Reema Wagh choreographed a wonderful dance on the life-journey of a soldier. From the time he left his family to fight on border, till he rejoiced the birth of his new born baby when on the border, till the time he sacrificed his life for our country. Our practices were very much exhausting and tiring as every practice was done with full energy but still it was an awesome experience with friends throughout. I was a bit nervous on the final day before the performance but as I was on stage I just got involved in it and started enjoying the dance. Not only different stalls of games and scientific experiments but also a food court was arranged for us. It was a wonderful experience and we all know winning and losing is just a part of everyone's life. We thank our mentor Ms. Caroline Vaz for all the support and guidance she gave us throughout. - Reyan Jain
